EGGS… Any way you like them

Eggs have been the source of much confusion in the nutrition world. It’s good for you, it’s not, it’s good for you, it’s not…..Or, just eat the eggs whites for the protein but don’t eat the yolk. So, what do we know about eggs?…

Summer Sips

It’s that time of the year….the sun is shining a little brighter and those temperatures are starting to warm up! So many of my clients become more acutely aware of the need to drink…especially as they start to sweat the minute they get out of the shower. However, there is a difference between understanding the need to stay hydrated and following through with drinking adequate fluids. As the summer approaches, here are a few tips to sip well in these warmer seasons.

Personalize Your Plate

We’ve lost touch with the concept of flexibility in an eating plan. I see way too many clients trying to do what their neighbor recommended, what their friends do, what has become popular in social media, or what they saw in a commercial. Plants and a Protein

People often seem to get into ruts with snack options and crave something new. Snacks are fantastic for keeping you energized throughout the day…look at them as an opportunity to promote focus and concentration, top off your fuel stores before a workout, and as part of your plan for getting your nutrient needs met.

Instantly Amazing!

Here Comes the Busy Season!

As I think about this coming year, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite food products and ways to use them for quick meals.

Loving Your Heart

It’s February – tis the season for Valentine’s and focusing on the heart! As you seek to show love to that special someone or special people in your life, don’t forget to show love to your heart!

Building Your Breakfast

It’s holiday season, and in the crazy of parties and shopping, it’s easy to let some healthy behaviors go. Making time for a balanced breakfast is one of these behaviors.

Caffeine Overload?

Oh that morning….or afternoon…or evening cup of coffee. It’s common for clients to reports how many cups of coffee they have each day and then quickly follow with “Wait, is that too much caffeine?” My answer is usually “It depends.”
