Randi earned her B.S. in Nutrition from University of Central Arkansas in 2017, while participating as a Division 1 Athlete. Following, she received her M.A. in Kinesiology, Sport Administration emphasis from CSU Fresno in 2019, where she was awarded the College of Health and Human Services Outstanding Master’s Project Award. Once completing her Master’s degree, Randi finished her Dietetic Internship at CSU Fresno in 2020 where she gained experience at Clovis Community Medical Center, Fresno VA Medical Center, UCSF Department of Research, Sierra Endocrine Associates, and Kaweah Delta Chronic Disease Management Center. Concluding her internship, Randi presented her research on The Impact of Obesity on Survival Rates Post-Pancreaticoduodenectomy at Community Cancer Institute.
As the Director of Nutrition, Randi provided her services at two local Skilled Nursing Facilities from 2020-2022, where she educated residents and their families, provided medical nutrition therapy to a variety of diagnoses, and specialized in Geriatrics, weight management, and Diabetes. Starting her career, Randi accomplished weight restoration with over 200 residents. Randi also acquired experience with medical complications associated with malnutrition, and contributed to the improvement of nutritional status aiding in the residents’ overall physical outcomes. During her time at the skilled nursing facilities, Randi initiated programs contributing to improvements in overall health, hydration, mental health, and increased meal intake in residents with diagnoses of Adult Failure to Thrive, Malnutrition, and Depression.
Randi was born and raised in the Central Valley. She grew up in a family of 7, and now has a family of her own. Randi and her husband welcomed their first son in October 2021, along with a Golden Retriever 6 months earlier. Randi loves spending her free time at the beach, baking, reading, and with family.
